My Story

In retrospect, the most significant turning point in my life occurred when I was just 10 years old, laying the foundation for my life’s trajectory. It was during this time that my school presented an opportunity to learn a musical instrument. While initially enticed by the flute and xylophone, I ultimately chose the saxophone, heavily influenced by my father’s deep affection for the instrument.

Music came naturally to me, and over the next couple of years, I rapidly progressed. Concurrently, I took it upon myself to learn the piano on an old, out-of-tune piano that came with our house. My interest prompted my parents to enroll me in formal piano classes.

At the age of 12, an opportunity arose at my school for a bassoonist, and my teacher offered me the chance to learn the instrument. Embracing the bassoon, I discovered it was a perfect fit for me. I immersed myself in its intricacies and honed my skills, even auditioning for state competitions and earning a place in prestigious ensembles. A deep passion for music blossomed within me, and at the age of 18, I successfully auditioned for college, gaining acceptance into the first Music Business program.

While music played a central role in my upbringing, I also developed a profound interest during this time in what was then called “New Age” subjects. I stumbled upon a Llewellyn’s calendar at Barnes & Noble, igniting my fascination with astrology.

As the internet became more accessible, I seized the opportunity to delve further into the subject. I embarked on self-study and became proficient in modern astrology, learning from esteemed astrologers like Linda Goodman, Robert Hand, and Liz Greene. As my knowledge expanded, I delved into Hellenistic astrology, studying the works of experts such as Demetra George, Kelly Surtees, and Chris Brennan.

Amidst my spiritual exploration, I encountered personal struggles with anxiety and trauma. Although I had always been prone to anxiety, a series of traumatic events between the ages of 17 and 21 intensified my depression and anxiety to uncontrollable levels. These challenges became a catalyst for my deep dive into holistic healing, which I pursued through various modalities.

At 33 years old, I received my first massage as a gift, introducing me to the transformative practice of reiki. During that session, I experienced a profound release of emotions, shedding tears that had been suppressed for a decade. Intrigued by reiki’s potential to address pent-up emotions without relying heavily on verbal communication, I decided to deepen my understanding of it.

Throughout the years, I immersed myself in practices such as yoga, meditation, crystals, energy work, and sound healing. I eagerly sought wisdom from practitioners like Hibiscus Moon for crystals, Lindsay Mack, Biddy Tarot, and Layla the Lenormand Reader for cardomancy, Tianna Roser (Reiki Master), and, most recently, Danielle Hall, an expert in sound healing. I discovered that these techniques shared a common thread: being present in the moment and accessing one’s inner peace. It was exhilarating to have an outlet for processing my emotions and to truly experience a sense of living rather than merely existing.

This personal transformation became an integral part of my life, and as I shared my journey with others, they began seeking treatment sessions from me for similar reasons. Facilitating sessions for others added a new dimension of healing for myself. I learned that we all have shared experiences and should not shy away from vulnerable connections with people.

As I continued working with clients, I witnessed the profound impact these therapies could have. The energy that surged through me when clients shared the positive influence of the treatments on their lives was awe-inspiring. It became clear to me that this was the work I was meant to do.

Today, as I continue to practice, I take pleasure in expanding my toolkit with additional techniques because different individuals respond to different methods. Most importantly, my work has evolved into a lifestyle—one that I am grateful to share with others. Whether someone is grappling with physical pain, emotional trauma, a sense of being lost and disconnected, or simply in need of nurturing, I feel privileged to assist them, even when their pain and needs are difficult to articulate.
